debt-ridden alcoholic father committed suicide & their mother could not
provide for them. In 2005 older sister Sharon returned to the family home to care for her elderly invalid
grandmother.

Sharon, after their father committed suicide. At first little Francis aged 4
years, was very sad & tearful, but with consistent love of God shown to him
by Grace family, his broken heart was healed.

Her father committed suicide after the birth of his 4th daughter. He could not
face the prospect of providing dowries for 4 girls, due to extreme poverty.

leaving him a cripple. The family is extremely poor, so perhaps James’ father
did not receive hospital treatment. James & his sister Rachel had not
attended school before coming to Grace Home.

Jeshua came to Grace Home in 2005 after his mother died. His father is also
deceased, but Jeshua has an older sister & a grandmother living in
Arabullam.

JOHANNA age 15 years.
She came to Grace in 1999 after her mother was killed in an accident at a rice
mill. Later her older sister Susanna joined Grace Home, & the two sisters
are very happy to be together. Recently their father died, so they have no
family at all now. Both girls help with household duties & help care for the
little girls. They are also very good singers, & both desire to be Pastors.
Johanna does well with her school lessons also.

MATTHEW age 12 years.
Came to Grace Home in January 2006 after his mother died. His father is an
alcoholic & unable to care for Matthew. Matthew was a heart-broken boy when
he arrived, but with lots of love & care he
recovered from his sorrow. Little brother Daniel joined Matthew at Grace
Home in 2007.

MOSES age 21 years.
Moses was the first child to come to Grace Home in 1998. His mother was very
transient, & Moses & his older brother often lived on the streets &
were very malnourished. Moses has grown up to be a fine young man. He has been
studying at Bible College in Hyderabad, & will return to Grace Home in April
as Assistant Pastor in the Churches that Ps Ezra leads.

RUTH age 16 years.
At age of 11 years, Ruth escaped from a situation of virtual slavery where she
was beaten & treated very cruelly. She ran away, & was brought to Grace
Home by a village Pastor. Ruth has no memory of any family, & has no clue of
her roots. She has been unable to learn to read or write, but has become a
beautiful, happy young woman, & a willing helper at Grace Home. She desires
to be a tailor, & is becoming very proficient at dressmaking.

From Kotapallum Village. Sarah’s
father died & mother very poor. Sarah’s younger sister will also join
Grace Home in the near future. Kotapallum
has no water supply, & therefore no crops can be grown, & so there is no
employment there & there is much poverty among the villagers.

STEPHEN
age 11 years
From Kotapallum Village. His
father has serious health problems & cannot work. Stephen’s mother must
travel to faraway places to work in the fields in order to support the family.
When Pastor Amose brought Stephen to Grace Home he was a very sickly child. Ps Amose
warned that Stephen had a weak heart & had a history of severe asthma. Over
the first few weeks Stephen had several asthma attacks, but now he is free of
all health problems, & is strong, robust & in glowing health!!
